Venture Kick is a prominent private, philanthropic initiative based in Switzerland, dedicated to fostering innovation from Swiss universities. Its core mission is to provide crucial pre-seed funding and comprehensive support to early-stage entrepreneurs, helping them transform groundbreaking research into viable, scalable businesses. Venture Kick employs a unique, multi-stage funding mechanism designed to incrementally support startups as they achieve key milestones. It offers non-dilutive seed capital, commencing with an initial first cheque of CHF 10,000 (approximately USD 11,200). Successful ventures can progress through subsequent stages, potentially securing additional tranches of CHF 20,000, CHF 30,000, and a final CHF 90,000, culminating in a total potential funding of CHF 150,000 (approximately USD 168,000) per project. This structured approach provides essential capital without requiring equity, preserving founders' ownership at a critical early stage.

Beyond financial support, Venture Kick provides invaluable coaching, access to a robust network of experts, mentors, and investors, and a platform for startups to refine their business models and pitches. This holistic support system is designed to significantly de-risk early-stage ventures, enhance their market viability, and prepare them for subsequent rounds of external financing from angel investors and venture capitalists.

Since its inception in 2007, Venture Kick has demonstrated a profound and measurable impact on the Swiss startup landscape. The initiative has supported over 1,100 projects, leading to the creation of more than 700 companies and over 14,000 jobs.
